There are three main problems with concrete in hot weather:
- False setting time of cement/concrete
- Low early strength
- Incomplete hydration

Quality control measures for concreting in hot weathers:
- Cooling of aggregates.
- Use of ice flakes in mixing water.
- Use of low heat cement.
- Use of admixtures.
- Protecting fresh concrete by insulating membranes .
- Schedule concrete placements to limit exposure to atmospheric conditions (i.e. at night or during favorable weather conditions).
